Success and Achievement

Durgapur Government Technical School and College, Birishiri, Durgapur, Netrakona is a marginal town inhabited by small ethnic groups. To develop the future generation as skilled human resources through technical and vocational education, the JSC(Voc) and SSC(Voc) program starts from 1st January/2022. Along with infrastructural development activities, education program started with four (04) classrooms and one (01) office room and three (03) employees, two (02) attached teachers, three (03) attached employees. In order to develop students as global citizens, special importance is being given to education and culture, physical education, ethics, values, sociability, production based activities, skills service, cleanliness etc. A limited supply of drinking water has been provided for the students. To raise the importance of vocational education to the general public and to create interest in vocational education among the public, holding regular parent's day, exchanging ideas with local dignitaries and entrepreneurs, holding yard meetings, information meetings, miking, distribution of posters to convey the benefits of technical education to the marginalized people. , distribution of leaflets from door to door, meetings in various offices, seminars are organized. Skills competition is organized to improve the skills and confidence of the students. Activities to create interest among the public by highlighting the importance of vocational education are continuing. The development activities in the institute classrooms/rooms, labs, workshops, office rooms, field development etc. are still going on.
